Cardiothoracic Surgery
Cardiothoracic Surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on the treatment of conditions of the chest which houses the heart, thoracic aorta, lungs, chest wall, mediastinum, pleural space, esophagus, diaphragm, just to name a few. It is divided into two distinct disciplines, Cardiac Surgery and General Thoracic Surgery. Currently we are able to offer General Thoracic Surgery which focuses on benign and malignant diseases of the thorax. The approach to treatment ranges from percutaneous to minimally invasive and then to open operations for more complex cases.
